About the Event

In Honour of the Mayor of London's London Climate Action Week - Leaving a Legacy CIC, will be hosting a series of talks on how Entrepreneurs, Change-makers and every day citizens are taking action to tackle Climate Change.

For this talk we are joined by Founder of Green Generation Initiative, Elizabeth Wathuti.

Established in 2016, GGI are committed to raising a socially and environmentally responsible generation by implementing environmental projects and activities with young people for a sustainable future. Green Generation Initiative was founded in 2016 by Elizabeth Wanjiru Wathuti; a recipient of Wangari Maathai scholarship award, with an aim of addressing the global environmental challenges that she identified with since childhood such as deforestation, climate change and pollution. The initiative focuses on nurturing young environmental enthusiasts, greening schools, environmental education, addressing food insecurity by planting fruit trees as well as inculcating a tree growing culture for forest cover increment through adopt a tree campaign.

Join us as we discuss his innovative project Elizabeth is working on to ensure that rural schools can build food security for their students by planting Food Forests and Green Schools, thereby also service Goal 15 - Life on Land.

As our pledge for Climate Action, we will plant a Tree within GGI's Food Forest Initiative for every person that attends the talk! So what are you waiting for?
